2nd suspect in Gronk robbery pleads not guilty

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — A second suspect in the break-in at Rob Gronkowski’s home while he was playing in the Super Bowl appeared in court Wednesday after turning himself in to police.

Eric Tyrrell, 28, was arraigned Wednesday on two counts of receiving stolen property over $250.

Prosecutors say he stole two rare coins and sold them to a dealer. The dealer said he gave him $3,600 for the coins. Tyrrell claimed the coins belonged to his father.

Police had a warrant for his arrest in connection to the February break-in, and Tyrrell’s name has been highly-publicized as a result.

A judge set a cash bail of $1,000 for Tyrrell.

Another suspect, Anthony Almedia, was arrested and arraigned Friday, while the third suspect is still on the run.

“I would urge Mr. Denn, whose world is collapsing all around him as a result of our work with the other two suspects, to join Mr. Tyrrell and turn himself in,” Foxborough police Chief Bill Baker said.

Shane Denn, 26, is not only suspected of the Gronk break-in, but also a series of smash-and-grab robberies last week in Wilmington, Tewksbury, and other towns.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police.
