Woman carjacked at knife-point with daughter in the back seat

BOSTON — Boston police are investigating a carjacking in Dorchester after a woman says a man put a knife to her throat and told her to get out of her vehicle.

The woman told FOX25 she had been in the car with her 4-year-old daughter on Clarkson Street around 6:15 p.m. Friday. The woman had been waiting in the car for her 6-year-old daughter to come out of her father's house.

As the woman waited in the running car, she says a man pulled open her door and put a knife to her throat.

"[He] snatched my door open and put a knife to my neck and he's like 'get out,'” Manuela Dasilveira said.

The woman says she begged the man to get her 4-year-old daughter out of the car.

"I was like, I’m not getting out this car before I get my daughter out. And he’s like ‘fine, fine’ but the whole time he had that knife against me, he wouldn’t take it off against me,” Dasilveira said.

As soon as the woman got her daughter out, she says the man sped away without even closing the door.

The woman's work laptop had been in the car. It's unclear what else was in the car when it was stolen.
