Police say missing Taunton woman may be in danger

TAUNTON, Mass. — Police in Taunton are searching for a missing woman who they say might be in danger.

Debra Parkinson, 28, walked away from her home in Avon two weeks ago and went to visit a friend on Chandler Avenue in Taunton, according to police.

Police say she sold her cellphone and planned to seek housing assistance.

Parkinson is mentally challenged and her family says she hasn't had access to her medication.

She's 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 215 pounds. Police say she has a butterfly tattoo on her right shoulder.

Police say she's still in the Taunton area.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call police right away.
