MSP: 2 arrested after police chase stolen car from Waltham to Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A wild ride came to a crashing end on the South Shore early Saturday morning.

Two people were arrested after leading police on an hour-long chase in a reportedly stolen SUV. It started in Waltham just before midnight and ended in Plymouth.

No police officers were injured, but three cruisers were damaged in the 60-mile pursuit, according to Mass. State Police.

The dark Ford SUV they were chasing ended up crashing off Route 3 in between exits two and three.

One of the suspects had to be taken to the hospital for minor injuries, but both were taken into custody.

According to State Police, officers started chasing the vehicle just before midnight after it was reported stolen out of Lynn.

Police began following the car on Trapello Road in Waltham and tried to stop it. Police eventually got the car to slow down and it eventually crashed off Route 3.

One suspect was taken into custody and the other was first brought to the hospital for minor injuries, but we're told he'll be brought to the Danvers barracks once he is treated.
