TAUNTON, Mass. — A Taunton woman who had been missing for two weeks was located by police on Saturday morning.

The Taunton Police Department says Debra Parkinson, 28, had been missing since she walked away from her home in Avon, MA, to visit a friend in Taunton.

Parkinson, who is diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and is mentally handicapped, allegedly sold her cellphone after one week of visiting her friend and stated she was going to seek housing assistance.

Her family had been concerned for her wellbeing as Parkinson did not have access to her medication. Taunton PD say she was safe when they found her.
