Man charged with murder in Lynn fatal stabbing

LYNN, Mass. — A 50-year-old man has been arrested for fatally stabbing a 27-year-old in Lynn Sunday morning, police say.

Lynn police responded to 145 Lewis Street Apt. 306 just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of a possible stabbing.

There, police found 27-year-old Keenan Barr of Lynn suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to Salem Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect, 50-year-old George McBrier of Lynn was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. He was treated, released and charged with murder.

Police say McBrier lives in the apartment building where the stabbing took place.

McBrier is expected to be arraigned Monday.
