"Boston Winter" will return to City Hall Plaza next month

BOSTON — City Hall Plaza will once again be transformed into a winter wonderland next month, with the return of "Boston Winter."

For the second year in a row, the plaza will feature an outdoor skating path, holiday shopping plaza, and a stage for local artists and community groups to perform in front of a live audience.

There will also be a Santa House, a Bavarian Village, an enchanted Christmas tree maze, and an interactive wine and beer experience.

Democratic Mayor Marty Walsh says in its debut last year, more than 300,000 people visited "Boston Winter."

The display will be open from November 24 through December 31, and the skating rink will remain open through February.

The transformation is being sponsored by Berkshire Bank as part of its three-year activation plan to help revitalize the City Hall Plaza.
