The Flash Flood Watch continues for * Portions of northern Connecticut and Massachusetts, including the following areas, in northern Connecticut, Hartford and Tolland. In Massachusetts, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Northern Middlesex, and Worcester. * Until 4 AM EDT Tuesday * Numerous Showers and thunderstorms with areas of torrential rainfall will impact the region during this evening and into tonight. The time period of greatest concern is thru 10 pm this evening. While the potential for localized flash flooding exists across the entire watch area, the highest risk appears to be in the vicinity of I-91 and west of I-91. * Localized rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches in less than an hour are possible. This will bring the potential for localized flash flooding. Pockets of significant urban flooding are also a concern. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. && $$
