Sara Underwood anchors Boston 25 Morning News from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. She joined the station in 2008. As one of the area’s most familiar and trusted news anchors, Sara has led coverage in Boston since 2000. Prior to joining Boston 25 News she was an anchor at WBZ-TV. Sara has been at the helm of major breaking news coverage, including leading the coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings. She has also conducted numerous high-profile interviews with newsmakers. Before coming to Boston, Sara was a reporter at WTTG, the FOX affiliate in Washington, D.C. Earlier in her career, she served as an anchor and reporter at WDTN, the ABC affiliate in Dayton, Ohio where she won an Emmy Award for breaking news. She started her career at KIEM-TV in Eureka, Calif. Sara grew up in Palo Alto, Calif., and is a graduate of UCLA. She has two daughters with her husband, radio sports host Michael Felger.
