Reporter

Drew Karedes joined Boston 25 News as General Assignment Reporter in March 2017. Drew, a North Shore native, joins the team after reporting at different stations across the country over the last decade. He comes from KHOU, the CBS-affiliate in Houston. While at KHOU, Drew regularly reported on the front lines of breaking news in the national spotlight and traveled across the country to provide continuing coverage on a number of high profile stories. Drew had the opportunity to tell Texas viewers about the courage and perseverance of Boston during his live coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings. Before moving to Houston, Drew reported for KTNV in Las Vegas. Notable stories Drew reported on there include the sentencing of O.J. Simpson and the mass shooting at a “Congress on Your Corner” event in Tucson, AZ, that wounded Representative Gabrielle Giffords. You could say Drew made his “big break” as a reporter while on an interview at the NBC-affiliate in Green Bay. During that interview, Drew was sent to report live on a Tornado that touched down in a northern Wisconsin county! He began his career working behind the scenes as a writer at 7News in Boston during his college years. Drew is a graduate of Northeastern University’s School of Journalism. He is a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and couldn’t be happier to be back home to tell the stories that matter to the people of New England.
