Noelle Lambert scores in first game back after losing her leg

Lambert cleared to play with prosthetic leg

DEDHAM — On July 30, 2016 Noelle Lambert had her leg amputed after the moped she was driving collided with a truck on Martha's Vineyard.

Nineteen long months later, Noelle was back playing with her Umass Lowell teammates when she scored a goal in the Riverhawks 16-1 against Hartford.

Noelle, who walks and competes with a prosthetic leg, was cleared by the NCAA recently to come back and play college lacrosse.

After Noelle scored the goal she said, "Don't call this a comeback because I never left my team."
