Nate Solder agrees to deal with Giants

BOSTON — Nate Solder, who has spent his entire professional career with the Patriots, is moving on to a new opportunity via free agency.

Multiple reports indicate Solder has come to an agreement to join the New York Giants, taking advantage of a limited market for offensive lineman. Solder was considered the top left tackle available on the market.

The deal is expected to pay Solder $60 million over the course of four seasons.

Solder was selected by the Patriots in the first round of the 2011 Draft. He played in four Super Bowls, winning two, as he protected Tom Brady's blind side.

During his time in New England, Solder also fought testicular cancer and has worked closely with the team at Dana Farber as his son, Hudson, has battled renal cancer.

His emotions came to the forefront in a postgame interview after Super Bowl LI in Houston.

Solder is originally from Colorado and was rumored to be a target of the Broncos as well as the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns during free agency.
