SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass. — Bobby Evans ran 27 times for 400 yards to lead Dennis-Yarmouth to a 45-33 win over Scituate to clinch the Division 5 South Sectional Championship and a trip to the state semifinals.
Evans ran behind a powerful, seasoned line up and down the field at will, exploding for big runs throughout the game and scoring five touchdowns.
D-Y quarterback Jacob McCarthy scored twice for the Dolphins.
Scituate QB Aidan Sullivan threw five touchdown passes, four to Abel Lopes, Jr.
The Dolphins will face Watertown in the Division 5 state semifinals. Watertown upset Lynnfield 28-24 Friday night.
