Celtics win Game 3 against 76ers in overtime, take 3-0 series lead

PHILADELPHIA — The Celtics won Game 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday 101-98, moving their series lead to 3-0.

The Celtics fell behind at first in overtime, with missed free throws playing a big role. Down a point with 8.4 seconds left, they got the ball back on a rebound from Marcus Morris with one more shot for the win.

Al Horford then hit a contact jumper to give the Celtics a one-point lead with 5.5 seconds to go. Horford followed that up with a key steal, and hit two free throws to put the game out of reach.

The game had gone back and forth in the final minutes of regulation, with the Sixers holding a two-point lead with 26 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

The Celtics tied the game on the next possession, before Jaylen Brown hit a layup with 1.7 seconds left to take the lead. Then, Marco Belinelli hit a game-tying jumper as time expired to send the game to overtime.

Game 4 will be played Monday night in Philadelphia, with the Sixers looking to avoid elimination at home.
