Celtics select Robert Williams with 27th pick in 2018 NBA Draft

The Celtics stayed put at the 27th position and selected Texas A&M's Robert Williams in the first round pf the 2018 NBA Draft.

Williams, a 6'9" forward, averaged 10 points and nine rebounds per game last year with the Aggies. He was not in Brooklyn for Thursday night's ceremonies.

Last year, the Celtics made waves by trading the first overall pick to the Philadelphia 76ers, and eventually picking Jayson Tatum with the third overall pick in the draft.

The Phoenix Suns selected Deandre Ayton with the first overall pick this year, with Marvin Bagley III going second to the Sacramento Kings.

Boston College's Jerome Robinson was picked with the 13th overall selection in the draft by the Los Angeles Clippers.
