BOSTON — The Bruins are already facing adversity with a 3-1 series deficit against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and they'll now be missing a key piece of their defense.

The team announced Saturday that defenseman Torey Krug would miss the remainder of the second round after a hit that drove him leg-first into the boards in Game 4 Saturday.

Krug injured his left ankle in the game, and immediately went to the locker room after the hit into the boards. He did not return for the rest of the game.

"[Krug] will not be available for the remainder of this series as he undergoes additional testing to determine the full extent of the injury," the team wrote in a statement.
