Brockton firefighter Matt Parziale's journey at the 2018 U.S. Open continued on Saturday as he shot a

Parziale is 11-over through the first three days of the tournament, heading into Sunday's final round leading by one shot over the two other amateurs remaining in the event.

He duplicated his Thursday performance on Saturday with a 4-over 74 after shooting a 3-over 73 on Friday.

Parziale beat out a legendary group to even make the cut for the tournament, outlasting Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and plenty of others on his way to a spot in the field on Saturday.

The Brockton native will have his father by his side as his caddie on Sunday, as the duo will celebrate Father's Day in a unique way.

Parziale will head into Sunday tied for 33rd in the tournament, and will tee off at 11:17 a.m. alongside Steve Stricker.
