#BlitzForSix: Patriots make final preps ahead of first playoff game

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Patriots’ ‘Blitz for Six’ kicks into high gear Saturday night when the team takes on the Tennessee Titans in Foxborough.

The Patriots are the heavy favorites in the playoff matchup, but the team isn’t taking anything for granted.

Players stayed focused in their last comments ahead of the playoff game at Gillette Stadium against the Titans.

It’s a matchup of experience vs. relative youth.

Forty-year-old Tom Brady versus 24-year-old Marcus Mariota for Tennessee.

Brady has 34 playoff games under his belt and Mariota only has one.

Brady said he doesn’t read into that at all.

“It comes down to how well you play,” Brady said. “At the end of the day, it’s not like the only guys are gonna win, the young guys are gonna win, the home team or the road team. It’s really gonna come down to execution and no one is going to be able to do it for you. You’re in the position to succeed.”

What could also play a role in the game is falling temperatures. Even though Meteorologist Jason Brewer said by the time they kick-off Saturday at 8:15 p.m., the temperatures could be in the 20s.
