BOSTON — Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron will miss at least two weeks with a fracture in his right foot, the team announced Tuesday.

Bergeron injured the foot while blocking a shot against Toronto on February 24. He played through pain the following night against Buffalo after the initial x-ray showed no break, but a further CT-Scan performed Monday in Boston revealed the small fracture.

The Bruins announced Bergeron will be evaluated in two weeks.

Head Coach Bruce Cassidy said Riley Nash will fill Bergeron's spot on the first line. Tommy Wingels, acquired Monday in a trade with Chicago, will join the club before Tuesday's game against Carolina and is expected to play.

Brian Gionta, who captained the US Olympic hockey team in Pyeong Chang, will not play tonight for Boston.
