Firehouse Friday: Berkley Fire Department

A parade and muster that started as a fundraiser 35 years ago have become very well-loved and anticipated day in the town of Berkley.

The Berkley Firefighters Parade and Muster is a Father's Day tradition that many residents and surrounding community members look forward to.  The parade kicks off at 11am. Spectators line the streets and splash the firefighters with water balloons and water cannons, a fun tradition born nearly 20 years ago. The parade concludes at the Berkley Town Common.  After a BBQ, raffles, and music,  the muster begins at 1pm. A muster if a competition between fire department testing firefighting skills. Though it's a competition, it's a fun way for the departments to spend time together and have fun.

The event is free and open to the public. Good luck to all!
