Woman attacked while in Worcester drive-thru lane

WORCESTER, Mass. — On Wednesday, a 31-year-old woman was in her car at a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru lane when she was assaulted by a couple.

According to a press release from Worcester Police, when the woman stepped out to tell the couple to stop hitting her car, the male suspect swung an umbrella at her chin. The female suspect then began to punch the woman in the head.

The woman called Worcester PD after getting back into her car and driving to a safe enough distance from JK Mart on 211 Chandler Street, where the attack happened. Worcester EMS arrived at the scene and took her to a nearby hospital to get treated.

The victim tells Boston 25 News she was in the emergency room for nine hours after the attack and needed stitches.

"I just feel like I got hit by a car today, my face feels all sore and swollen and my neck hurts," said Denise Jacobson.

Jacobson has a black eye and four stitches on her chin after the attack.

"I kept trying to catch the umbrella for some reason as a reaction, but I couldn’t do it because he was swinging it too fast," said Jacobson.

The suspects have not been found.

The investigation is ongoing, therefore if anyone has information regarding this incident, call the Worcester Police Detective bureau at (508) 799-8651.
