Woman hit, killed by Commuter Rail train in South Weymouth

SOUTH WEYMOUTH, Mass. — A 23-year-old woman was killed Friday morning when she was hit by a Commuter Rail train in South Weymouth, officials told Boston 25 News.

MBTA Transit Police were notified just before 9:30 a.m. that someone has been hit by a train at the South Weymouth Commuter Rail station.

First responders rushed to the scene and investigators said they found a 23-year-old woman had been trespassing on the right of way when she was hit by an outbound MBTA COmmuter Rail train.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her identity has not yet been released.
