• Windshields damaged by ice falling from Sagamore Bridge


    BOURNE, Mass. - At least three cars were damaged by ice falling from the Sagamore Bridge Monday morning, according to Bourne police. 

    Ice was reported falling from the rafters of the bridge about 6 a.m., police told Boston 25 News. 

    At least one car had to stop on Route 3 just off the bridge to be towed from the scene. Its windshield was heavily damaged and had a hole through it. 

    Two other cars were damaged, but were able to be driven away from the bridge.

    No injuries were reported and the bridge remained open.
