WELLESLEY, Mass. — Wellesley students and parents were surprised to see a message spray painted on the sidewalk at the entrance to Wellesley middle school Tuesday morning.
The message “ARE WE NEXT” was written on the ground outside the school.
Parents were concerned as they dropped children off for school.
“Right now, we are settling in for our day. We are communicating with staff and students, and ensuring them of their safety,” Wellesley Principal Mark Ito said in an email to the community Tuesday morning.
According to Ito, Wellesley police were working with school officials to investigate the graffiti.
