Suspect wanted after hit-and-run of firefighter in Onset

ONSET, Mass. — Officials in Onset have are searching for a suspect in connection with the hit-and-run of a firefighter.

Onset Fire and Rescue posted on Facebook telling people the vehicle they are looking for is a gray, newer-model Subaru Outback.

They say it will likely have extensive side mirror, front and passenger side damage.

The firefighter was on scene responding to an accident Friday night when he was hit.

The crash happened on Cranberry Highway in Wareham and officials say the car was heading toward Bourne after hitting the firefighter.

He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
