State police dispatcher accused of releasing sensitive info about investigation

BROCKTON, Mass. – A Massachusetts State Police dispatcher has been placed on administrative leave after allegedly posting sensitive information about an investigation online.

Carla Grant is accused of posting about dashcam footage of a deadly crash in a Brockton Facebook group before that video was released.

That video is related to a car crash that Cory Wasilewski in February 2017. Just last month, Kyle Thistle was arrested on negligent operation and speeding charges related to the crash.

"She was using professional terms, negative op., decedent, it’s his fault. Just blaming it on my son," Cory’s father Tom Wasilewski said. "I saw all these nasty things being said, and something about a dashcam. I’m like i don’t know anything about a dashcam. How would this lady know anything about a dashcam?"

A state police spokesperson told Boston 25 News that Grant has been with the department for 19 years, and a job status hearing will be held next week.

"I want her off the job. I don’t care what she does, or where she goes," Wasilewski said. "She’s a rotten person."

Grant is currently on paid administrative leave. Her status during the internal investigation will be determined during next week’s hearing. She did not return messages left by Boston 25 News Thursday evening.

Once the investigation is complete, MSP will determine her future with the department.
