BOSTON - Did one murder lead to another in Boston?

On Monday night, a man was shot dead in Back Bay and police are investigating whether it might be linked to another shooting back in July.

He was taken to Boston Medical Center and later pronounced dead.

Police immediately described the shooting as gang-related.

Just hours before the brazen Back Bay shooting, 38-year-old Charles Williams was arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the murder of 32-year-old Dennis Parham. Parham was shot and killed in July at the Lenox Housing Development in Roxbury.

Multiple sources tell Boston 25 the man killed Monday night may have been an associate of Williams.

And now investigators are looking to see if he was targeted as pay-back for supporting Williams after his arrest.
