Shrewsbury Police find driver in fatal November hit-and-run

SHREWSBURY, Mass. -- Shrewsbury Police have located a vehicle of interest and the driver related to a fatal hit-and-run on Nov. 6.

Police said the vehicle was located by a Shrewsbury Police Detective, who spotted it while he was working a traffic detail.

The owner of the vehicle, a man from West Boylston, is cooperating with police.

He told them he was unaware of a collision involving a pedestrian.

The victim in that crash was 59-year-old Alma Cico. She was crossing the street on Municipal Drive near Grafton Street when she was hit. Cico was brought to UMass Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The crash is still under investigation by the police.

The Shrewsbury Police have located a vehicle of interest in the November 6th, 2017 fatal pedestrian crash involving Alma Cico, 59 years of age, of Shrewsbury Ma.
The vehicle was located as a result of Shrewsbury Police Detective Paul Brown observing a vehicle fitting the description while he was working a traffic detail.
The owner of the vehicle is a West Boylston resident and is cooperating with investigators.
The operator has told investigators that the operator was unaware of a collision involving a pedestrian.
The crash continues to be investigated by Shrewsbury Police Crash Reconstructionist Sgt. Michael O'Connor and Officer Ryan Chartrand in conjunction with the Office of Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. and the Massachusetts State Police.
