Search continues for man accused of strangling woman in front of son

METHUEN, Mass. — It's been five months since Millie Rosa's daughter was strangled to death in front of her grandson.

"I wake up every morning I go by my daughter's picture, I throw her a kiss. And say, I miss you," said Rosa.

The pain remains relentless.

"I talk to her every day and I cry every day," she said.

Wanda Rosa was found murdered in her Methuen apartment on Sept. 12. Her son, Ethan, told police that his "Mommy is dead already" and that his "father went crazy and choked Mommy," according to court paperwork.

Ethan's father, Emilio DeLarosa, is the main suspect in her murder and now one of the State Police's most wanted fugitives.

"It was a young mother was murdered, left a 4, now 5-year-old boy behind, we want to bring him to justice. That's what she deserves that's what the little boy deserves," said Lt. Michael Farley.

At the time of the murder, DeLarosa had just finished serving a four-year prison sentence for kidnapping both Wanda and baby Ethan. Wanda and Ethan escaped from him in New Jersey. Police said DeLarosa has a history of domestic violence and has even served jail time for his abuse of Rosa.

Wanda had an active restraining order against DeLarosa at the time of the murder. Since her death, he has disappeared.

Wanda's mother tells me she is desperate for justice, she wants DeLarosa caught.

"He has to pay. He has to pay for what he did to my daughter. He has to pay for what he did to my baby. It's not fair. He should not be a coward and do it like that way," she said.

In addition to Lawrence and Methuen, DeLarosa has ties to New Hampshire and the Dominican Republic. He has Wanda's name tattooed on his left bicep, and he has a large cross tattooed on his back. He's described as 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, and is Hispanic.

Police are asking for anyone who might have any information on DeLarosa's whereabouts to contact them immediately at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873).
