Billboard reported that Brooks is reportedly in discussions to perform.

The Jan. 20 inauguration, which will have the theme "Make America Great Again," has not yet had performers confirmed or announced.

"Garth has performed for the five living presidents," his publicist Nancy Seltzer said in a statement to Reuters on Friday. "While rumor has it that he has been asked to perform for President-elect Trump, he has not been able to commit yet."

The speculation follows reports that singer Elton John would not be performing at the inauguration.
