The Red Sox will commemorate the five-year anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing this weekend.

Starting Friday and going through Monday's race, the team will recognize those affected by the bombing, beginning with a ceremony before Friday's game against the Orioles. Marathon survivors and family members of Krystle Campbell, Martin Richard, Lingzi Lu, MIT police officer Sean Collier and Boston police officer Dennis "DJ" Simmonds will all be included in the ceremony.

The Red Sox Foundation will donate proceeds from their 50/50 raffles over the weekend to 11 different Marathon-related charities throughout the weekend, and the team has also asked fans to bring toiletries to Fenway Park throughout the weekend to donate to The Dimock Center in Roxbury and Heading Home in Greater Boston.

Throughout the weekend, players like Brock Holt, Dustin Pedroia, Rick Porcello and Jackie Bradley Jr., along with front office members will participate in volunteer efforts around the area.

To wrap up the weekend, the team will wear their special "Boston" home jerseys on Patriots Day to continue the tradition started back in 2013 in their first home game after the bombing.
