Popular MBTA program using Uber/Lyft to expire soon

BOSTON — An extremely popular pilot program designed to help people with disabilities get around the city is set to end soon.

A few months ago the MBTA launched a program that would allow people with disabilities to use Uber or Lyft rather than waiting on a shuttle from the The Ride service.

The program is so popular that 20 percent of the people in the pilot program have stopped using the ride all together.

The pilot program is set to expire in April. The T hasn't said if it will keep it going.
