Caught On Camera: Burglary suspect crashes through business in stolen truck

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Police are searching for the suspect they believe is responsible for burglaries that spanned through Wilmington, Andover and Tewksbury.

At 5 a.m. Thursday, police in Wilmington were called to Jimmy's Garage on Main Street for a burglar alarm. Police say a white GMC pickup truck was used to smash through the front of the store. Surveillance video shows the suspect running inside the store and grabbing about a dozen boxes of cigarettes before driving away.

About 45 minutes later, Andover Police responded to School Street after a vehicle crashed into a house. Police say that vehicle is the same one that was stolen from Jimmy's Garage in Wilmington.

The Andover homeowner saw a male run from the vehicle after the crash. He was described as being in his late 20s to early 30s, about 6' tall and was wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt. He was seen running down School Street toward Essex Street.

While investigating these incidents, Tewksbury Police reported a break in at a service station in town.

Investigators say all three incidents are related.

At 7 a.m., Andover Police were called to Richdale Market on Railroad Street for a stolen vehicle. Police say a white GMC pickup truck with Massachusetts Commercial Plate R83326 was stolen. The truck has a black flatbed, a yellow plow on the front and 'Boston Hill Fence' on the doors.

The truck was seen in Boston around 8 a.m. Boston Police tried to stop the truck, but it fled.

Massachusetts State Police and Police in Wilmington, Tewksbury, Andover, Woburn and Boston are working to identify the suspect.
