Police searching for man who physically assaulted Roslindale store employees

BOSTON — Boston Police are searching for a man they say attempted to rob a store in Roslindale and physically assaulted a store employee in the process.

Around 2:20 p.m. on March 21, police responded to a call for a robbery in progress in the area of Cummins Market in Roslindale.

When they arrived on scene, the suspect had already fled the store, but witnesses and other employees said the man tried to rob the store and physically assaulted two employees before running away.

The suspect was described as a black man with a bald or shaved head, approximately 40 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing around 220 pounds. A witness also reported that he was missing his bottom front teeth.

Surveillance video shows the suspect wearing a hard hat and orange vest over a navy jumpsuit, gray hoodie and work-style boots.

Boston Police are hoping people can identify the man in the video, but he is not wanted at this time. The information on the suspect is being provided for identification purposes only.
