Plymouth Police responded to a report of a barricaded person inside a home on Lombard Street Friday evening.
Around 3 p.m., police say they got a call from a mental health facility stating a man who lived at the Lombard Street home had threatened suicide by handgun or rifle. Police say there were no weapons in the house at that time.
In a news conference Friday night, police say they are searching for the man who they identified as John Lynch. Just after 10:30 p.m., Plymouth Police announced they located Lynch and he has been taken to Beth Israel Deaconess for evaluation.
Police say Lynch has not made any threats to anyone but himself.
After an hours long stand off 39 year old John Lynch was not in a Plymouth home police surrounded. They cleared the house and do not believe he has any weapons or that he is a threat. If you see him call police for his own safety. #Boston25 pic.twitter.com/KCt0eJSIU1
