Pit bull stolen from Boston adoption center

BOSTON — The Animal Rescue League of Boston is asking for help finding a dog that was stolen from its adoption center on Sunday.

ARL of Boston said on Sunday, a potential adopter took a 3-year-old Pit bull out for a walk and never returned.

It happened around 3 p.m. when a 55-year-old Boston man came into the adoption center with a woman and showed interest in Nick - a 3-year-old white and gray Pit bull-type dog.

Officials say the man left his Massachusetts ID with ARL staff and took Nick for a walk, but they never came back.

ARL contacted Boston Police and Boston Animal Control.

The man has a dark complexion and is approximately 5'9" tall. He was last seen wearing black pants, a blue hoodie, tan jacket, a baseball hat and glasses.

Anyone with information on the suspect or where Nick might be should call 911 immediately.
