PHOTOS: Fist Bump Kid wins Man of the Year

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Liam Fitzgerald, who skyrocketed to fame after a video of him fist-bumping the Bruins went viral, has been named Man of the Year by the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.

On Thursday night, Liam won the Man of the Year title after fundraising almost $150,000.

Liam was decked out in a tux for the occasion and received a special shout out from the Boston Bruins, who tweeted their congratulations.

The eight-year-old hockey fan has Down syndrome and was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of four. Liam is now cancer free.
