ABINGTON, Mass. — Officials said one person died after a fire broke out at a senior apartment complex in Abington Sunday.
The Abington Fire chief says the fire was reported around 3:00 at 585 Chestnut St.
There was heavy smoke on the third floor, and officials said that's where they found the victim, identified as 71-year-old Stanly Simon.
Four others were brought to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Officials said they're hoping to get everyone back in the building by Sunday night - in the meantime, they're waiting in the building next door.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
