DUXBURY, Mass. — An off-duty Norwell Firefighter responded to a serious vehicle rollover on Route 3 in Duxbury, north of exit 11 early on Sunday morning.

According to the Duxbury Fire Department, the pick up truck rolled over approximately seven times, causing life threatening injuries to the driver.

The off-duty firefighter was the first one at the scene at around 6:30 a.m, and monitored the patient until the paramedics arrived and transported him to South Shore Hospital.
