Man wanted for Brazil murder arrested on Martha's Vineyard

OAKS BLUFF, Mass. — A man wanted for murder in Brazil was captured on Martha's Vineyard last week, police said.

U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement told Oak Bluffs Police that evidence indicated a man wanted for his involvement in a murder=fore-hire scheme in Brazil was residing on the island.

Oaks Bluffs police said they observed the man, identified as Dorvino Rocha Ribeiro, 47, a Brazilian national, working on a roof of a home on Linton Avenue.

Later that day, ICE agents arrived on the Vineyard and arrested Ribeiro without incident. Agents took Ribeiro off the island that afternoon.
