Man stabbed multiple times in East Boston, officials say

BOSTON — A man was taken to a hospital overnight after he was stabbed multiple times in East Boston, police tell Boston 25 News.

Few details have been released by police, but they said the stabbing took place in the area of Bennington and Swift streets before 1 a.m. Monday.

The streets were blocked off for hours while police investigated, but the area has since reopened.

The victim, who was identified as a man in his 20s, was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No information about a possible suspect has been released and no arrests have been made.
