Man saves someone's grandmother when she dials wrong number

WALLSEND, England — A car sales manager became a hero when he left work to rush to the aid of a woman who called him by accident.

The Chronicle reported that Dang Vuong, a car sales manager for a BMW dealership in Wallsend, England, was working when a woman miscalled and called Vuong's place of work.

Vuong, 34, realized the woman was in trouble and took action.

"I said, 'I'll go and make sure she's OK,'" he told the Metro Tuesday. "At first I thought she was just across the road, it turned out she was about 2 miles away. I drove over there while our receptionist kept her talking on the phone."

Today.com reported that Vuong entered the home when he realized the front door was unlocked.

"When I arrived, she was in shock more than anything, there was blood on her face and the bath was overflowing," Vuong told The Chronicle. "I told her who I was and then scooped her up and put her on the sofa and covered her with a blanket and waited until her carers and family came."

Sara Tweedy, the woman's granddaughter, expressed her thanks on Facebook.

"We can't thank him enough for what he done for her, there really is some caring and thoughtful people out there that don't get recognized for what the do," Tweedy wrote.
