Man faces charges for shooting, killing robber; police search for 2nd suspect

PALMER, Mass. — A homeowner in western Massachusetts shot and killed a man who was breaking into his home this week, but he is now facing drug related charges as police search for another robber.

Officials in Palmer released surveillance photos of Freddy Rosario leaving the scene on Calkins Road Monday.

Police believe Rosario was an accomplice in a home invasion where another man was shot and killed.

Rosario is believed to be driving a Dodge Ram.

As for the homeowner who shot the other robber, 21-year-old Dimitri Bryant was arraigned Monday on a charge of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, according to The Associated Press.

Police said they found more than 20 pounds of marijuana worth more than $30,000 in the home.

Bail was set at $10,000.
