Mail carrier honored for rescuing woman from burning home

HANSON, Mass. -- A local mail carrier is being honored for rescuing a woman from a burning house.

The fire chief and town officials in Hanson presented her with an award tonight.

She’d only been on the job for about three months when this fire broke out. She says it wasn’t only her intuition that told her something was wrong but some preparation from her husband who happens to have just the experience to know what to do.
