Light snow to taper off by Monday afternoon

BOSTON — It may be spring, but winter just won’t let go.

Massachusetts residents braced for another round of snow Monday, but thankfully it wasn't as major as the previous four nor’easters that impacted our weather week after week in March.

Most of us are seeing a coating to an inch or two of snow, but the timing is what made things a bit tricky.

Snow started to fall during the morning commute, which caused some slick conditions on untreated surfaces.

And residents along the coast from the South Shore to Cape Cod were hopeful the snow wasn't enough to cause problems they’ve been forced do deal with during the previous storms.

The snow had been expected to taper off Monday afternoon.
