• Juvenile accidentally kills NH man while target shooting

BRENTWOOD, N.H. - The death of a New Hampshire man who was shot and killed by a juvenile while target hunting earlier this month has been ruled accidental.

Brentwood, New Hampshire, police, said they received a 911 call Nov. 4 regarding an accidental shooting at the Deer Run Wildlife Management Area.

When first responders arrived, they learned that Christopher Shewokis, 51, od Sandown, New Hampshire, went target shooting with an adult friend and juvenile.

While the friend was adjusting the targets, Shewokis loaded his Ruger 22 revolver, and gave it to the juvenile while providing instructions.

The revolver then accidentally discharged a round into Shewokis’ chest, killing him.

Police said the Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and found Shewokis’ death to be accidental.
