Hate crime investigation underway after photo of Trump sign at Mexican restaurant goes viral

WALPOLE, Mass. — The family that runs a local restaurant says they were the targets of trump supporters because of their heritage.

Ricardo Dorronsoro owns Jalapenos on Main Street in Walpole, and a picture taken outside the restaurant shows a white pickup truck with a Donald Trump sign.

Richie Kadesh was in that picture, and later posted it on Facebook with the comment “They’re paying for the wall.”

Dorronsoro’s daughter saw the picture and posted it on her page defending her father and the restaurant he’s been running for more than a decade.

Since then, her wall has been filled with people showing their support.

"That's what makes this country great. We have nationalities from everywhere and we all come here to try to build a better future,” Dorronsoro said.

Kadesh has taken down his post, but police say they are looking into this as a possible hate crime.
