Former Patriot Darrelle Revis charged with robbery, aggravated assault

PITTSBURGH — Former New England Patriot Darrelle Revis is facing charges of robbery, terroristic threats, conspiracy, and aggravated assault after an apparent altercation over the weekend.

Police said two men spotted the New York Jets cornerback walking down a street early Sunday morning and started recording him on one man's cell phone.

At some point, police said, Revis snatched the man’s phone and attempted to delete the video.

The second man then got involved and attempted to help the first man retrieve his phone before Revis threw it into the road.

After a verbal argument, another man came to assist Revis, and both of the other men were punched, police said.

Witnesses told police the two victims were unconscious for about 10 minutes before officers arrived.

Revis' attorney tells a different story. According to him, at least five people attacked Revis.

Police said they have a recording of the confrontation but have not yet released it to the public.
