• Fire displaces 20 in Brookline; no injuries reported

    BROOKLINE, Mass - Crews from multiple cities responded to a late-night fire in Brookline.

    Firefighters were called to a large apartment building on Babcock Street around 11 p.m. Sunday.

    Crews battled single-digit temperatures and frozen hydrants as they worked to put out the flames inside the walls.

    It doesn't appear anyone was injured, but about 20 people were displaced as a result.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation.
