Family: Woman found murdered in N. Andover home was loving mother of 2

Investigators are looking for the person who killed a woman in North Andover.

Investigators were back at a home on Lincoln Street in North Andover Monday morning where police say Wendi Davidson's body was found in the basement on Saturday afternoon.

"I just don't know how anybody could do this to her," said Sandy Holmes, Davidson's aunt.

Holmes tells Boston 25 News the most important thing to Wendi was family.

"Wendi was the most loving, caring mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece that anyone could ever ask for," said Holmes.

Holmes say Davidson was a loving mother to two boys and her entire family is praying her killer is found and brought to justice.

Neighbors say this is normally a very quiet and peaceful place to live.

"I went out shopping and there was an ambulance, fire trucks and police. I didn't know what happened."

The Essex County District Attorney's Office tells Boston 25 News that an upstairs neighbor at the Lincoln Street duplex found Davidson's body in the basement after noon on Saturday and notified her brother, who then called 911.

Investigators believe Davidson was strangled to death and her murder was not random.

Detectives found Davidson's car less than a half-mile away in the parking lot of Choice Fitness.

As police continue to search for Wendi's killer, her family members are praying for justice.

"My niece was the biggest part of our family. And we are all sadly going to miss her deeply. And that's all I had to say about her."
